Healing: from trauma, past wounds, the things that happened or didn’t happen for us, can be a daunting, messy journey. I believe we all possess the ability to heal within each of us, and I am honored to join you in that exploration. My approach to creating and increasing connection with your mind, body, community and environment is one based in knowing and feeling connection with our bodies first. By creating a warm, safe, accepting environment, I am committed to providing a space where healing and growth can happen. Through somatic (body) awareness, we can identify ways that colonization, racial and intergenerational trauma affects different facets of our daily lives, and explore ways that lead to more acceptance for what has happened and increase resilience for what continues to happen.

My personal journey deeply informs my practice--I'm a mother, a partner, an artist, a nurse, and a Korean/Japanese American transracial adoptee. Growing up as a racial minority in a small white farming community in Iowa, I experienced firsthand the complexities and challenges of navigating identity and belonging in an environment that often felt isolating and exclusionary. My background provides me with a unique perspective on the strengths and struggles inherent in these dynamics, and reminds me that we do not heal in isolation but rather in community with one another.
